Literary Tattoos

I've never been one for tattoos (surprisingly it's the only rebellious thing I haven't done), but this trend of literary tattoos has me intrigued. This astounding book, The World Made Flesh: Literary Tattoos from Bookworms Worldwide was born from a call Justin Taylor (Everything here is the best thing ever, The Gospel of Anarchy) and Eva Talmadge (Co-editor of HTML Giant) put out the summer of 2009 to those with literary ink on their skins so to speak. Flipping through this book was a re-acquaintance with what inspires bookworms. Tattoos ranged from references to Harry Potter and Twilight to lines from T.S. Eliot and Emily Dickinson back to scenes from Shel Silverstein and Harriet the Spy. I think mine will be a quote from James Baldwin or something. Check out some of the images from the book.
